We would like to wish the young star Lauren Brash all the best for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and we have announced our further sponsorship of Lauren.
Lauren, from Deans in Livingston, is the second youngest member of Team Scotland and she’s already focusing on her preparations to be part of a home Games as she explains: “I’m really excited about competing for Team Scotland in Glasgow – it is by far the biggest competition that I’ve competed in. And to have the opportunity to represent Scotland at a home Commonwealth Games is just incredible.
“The support that I’ve received from the team at Ground Developments Ltd will allow me to consider how I progress in my sport by looking at the training options that will be available to me after the Commonwealth Games. But my immediate focus is on Glasgow, and I can’t wait to get in front of that home crowd and hopefully make them incredibly proud.”
Managing Director, Peter Nicholas of Ground Developments Ltd adds: “Having competed in the Sydney Olympics, I know just how important a home support can be and I’m looking forward to seeing how Lauren does in the competition in front of her home crowd in Glasgow. From everyone at Ground Developments Ltd, we’d like to wish her all the best whilst also confirming our ongoing sponsorship support which will help her development programme after the Commonwealth Games.
“I also hope Lauren uses her involvement in Glasgow 2014 as a springboard to be the best she can be within her sport, whilst embracing the experience of being part of an incredibly talented team!”
Supporting sporting talent reflects the approach GDL applies to business as Peter comments: “Our team at Ground Developments Ltd offers clients a focused and positive ‘can-do’ attitude to find solutions to the projects they ask us to work on.
“This philosophy comes to life through our support of young rising sports stars like Lauren, who through real hard work and determination and some support, will realise their dreams and ambitions.”
